Who Came Up With Video Game Addiction?

Like we don’t have enough psychiatric disorders, now another one?

With a leading council of the nation’s largest doctors’ group proposing to have this behavior officially classified as a psychiatric disorder, I am wondering if they are losing their minds. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are kids addicted to their video games, and ignoring friends and family for hours or maybe days playing their life away, but to consider classifying it as a psychiatric disorder, I think is going over the deep edge. Parents have to control their kids, and that may be as simple as taking the video games away for a short while and instituting that they spend time with their friends and family. And as for enabling sufferers to get insurance coverage, don’t we have more important illnesses that insurance doesn’t yet cover?
