Actress Christina Applegate, whose mother battled breast cancer, says she began getting mammograms at the age of 30. She tells ABC News’ Good Morning America in an interview: “Absolutely 100% clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I’m definitely not going to die from breast cancer.” Since it was caught early following a doctor-ordered MRI, she should be fine, and that highlights the need to do regular checkups, in order to effectively treat breast cancer.
